Come On In and Stay A While

Welcome to the blog of Staja Studios. We are STAcey and JAson Thon, the dynamic duo (self proclaimed) behind Staja Studios! This blog serves as our way to keep in touch with everyone we know, like, and love. We thought it would be a fun way for people who know us to keep up with what is going on in our lives and studio, and a wonderful way for those of you who may have just met us to learn more about who we are.
We would like to bring together our professional and personal lives. You can expect to see pictures from our latest weddings, engagement shoots, portraits, etc. As well as some personal, fine art, family pics, and other projects. In addition, we will be sharing our "Cheers and Jeers", and other random ramblings about whatever strikes our fancy. In the future we are also looking for ways to make things more interactive, if you will. This may include voting for a particular marketing piece, contests, and various other activities.
Thank you all for stopping by, and don't forget to - Get Captured!

Meet Baby Bishop

So I just LOVE it when our couples call us to photograph their new addition. How rewarding is that?!? We get to experience the day they become husband and wife and then come back to see the joy that a sweet, loveable newborn baby has brought to their relationship. Needless to say, our job is, bar none, the best in the world and we have made some fantastic friends along the way.

Check out Bishop's awesome parents getting hitched!

Anyway, this little guy is so chill. He was only about 3 months old, but I'm pretty sure he's got his daddy's laid back demeanor. Very contemplative.

I spent a couple of hours hanging out with the family. Just enough time for me to get a nice newborn baby fix. (Jason was happy about that). Those darn kids grow so fast, it's kinda sad for me that Ian isn't a tiny baby anymore....
Okay, now he's reminding me that when we go to bed, we get to sleep til morning.

That IS nice, I'll admit. Alright, enough about us, here is one of my favorite shots.

"Rollin with the rents"

Here is Bishop contemplating the fact that he really doesn't want his picture taken anymore!

Congratulations Christine and Randy! You've got a gorgeous baby and I can't wait to see him again!

I loved all the pictures of Bishop. You really did capture the moment! The first one with Mom & dad is so cool. It's almost like he's saying "See what I created" or maybe he's saying "Life is good"
You really captured his beatiful eyes - Great work!!
