Come On In and Stay A While

Welcome to the blog of Staja Studios. We are STAcey and JAson Thon, the dynamic duo (self proclaimed) behind Staja Studios! This blog serves as our way to keep in touch with everyone we know, like, and love. We thought it would be a fun way for people who know us to keep up with what is going on in our lives and studio, and a wonderful way for those of you who may have just met us to learn more about who we are.
We would like to bring together our professional and personal lives. You can expect to see pictures from our latest weddings, engagement shoots, portraits, etc. As well as some personal, fine art, family pics, and other projects. In addition, we will be sharing our "Cheers and Jeers", and other random ramblings about whatever strikes our fancy. In the future we are also looking for ways to make things more interactive, if you will. This may include voting for a particular marketing piece, contests, and various other activities.
Thank you all for stopping by, and don't forget to - Get Captured!

The Nutcracker

What an event. This has been a post we have been wanting to get up for a while, but we wanted some feedback from the Dance Theatre on their favorite images and mixed those with ours. This has been the third year that we have had the opportunity to be a part of the Nutcracker for the Wausau Dance Theatre. We have so much fun because every year we expand our horizons and learn more about the art of ballet and try new approaches in shooting it. The Theatre is family run, and features the talents of local talent from the Cental Wisconsin School of Ballet, in addition to some guest dancers from the American Ballet Theatre. The entire family has been so much fun to work with and we are very excited about shooting Carnival of The Animals which is going to be narrated by Elliot Gould. It is going to be a great weekend!

Without further delay, we present the Nutcracker!

Happy Birthday Bird!

Well today is my Birdy's Birthday. This is the 10th birthday she has had that I have been there for :) When I put it like that, it is really surprising how fast time flies. It is really remarkable the changes and challenges she has taken on in that time. When we met, she was living with a couple of college friends, working a variety of jobs, and still had a bit of the travel bug. Fast-forward and we are know married, she is a wonderful wife and mother to two unbelievable kids, and has started a business to take pride in.

Unfortunately, today isn't a very exciting day for her, although I actually think she wouldn't change it much if she could. We started the morning off with a family breakfast, of chocolate waffles and raspberry whip cream. This afternoon she took Lauren to one of her friends birthday party, and tonight I making dinner, as we won't be able to go out.

Birthday's are like milestones in one's life, and although this one isn't mine, it still causes me to reflect. I have to say that I couldn't be a much luckier guy to be married to such a wonderful woman and have the family that I do!

Please join me in wishing Stacey a Happy Birthday!

I Love You Bird!
