Come On In and Stay A While

Welcome to the blog of Staja Studios. We are STAcey and JAson Thon, the dynamic duo (self proclaimed) behind Staja Studios! This blog serves as our way to keep in touch with everyone we know, like, and love. We thought it would be a fun way for people who know us to keep up with what is going on in our lives and studio, and a wonderful way for those of you who may have just met us to learn more about who we are.
We would like to bring together our professional and personal lives. You can expect to see pictures from our latest weddings, engagement shoots, portraits, etc. As well as some personal, fine art, family pics, and other projects. In addition, we will be sharing our "Cheers and Jeers", and other random ramblings about whatever strikes our fancy. In the future we are also looking for ways to make things more interactive, if you will. This may include voting for a particular marketing piece, contests, and various other activities.
Thank you all for stopping by, and don't forget to - Get Captured!

Laura and Chris

We met Laura and Chris at the park for their engagement session and eventually made our way into St. Paul. It was an unseasonably warm and beautiful day in September. We had so much fun with these two. They were up for anything from cave exploration to splashing around in fountains! Photo ideas were definitely a group effort with this shoot! We love it when our couples voice their ideas and help guide the session along with their input. The images are filled with so much more personality when this happens. Laura and Chris are getting married in November and we can't wait to see what they have planned!

We hope you guys had as much fun on your engagement session as we did! Check out some highlights.

Camilla and Jim

We are so excited to share some images with you of a couple that is just gorgeous both inside and out! Cam and Jim got married September 6 in New Prague, MN. After a cruise in the stretch Hummer, and a quick stop at Centennial Lakes, they finished off their evening at the Hotel Sofitel in Bloomington. For those of you video game fans, they even had a Wii room which was pretty cool.

Jim comes from a large family. (He has 10 siblings!) Camilla, on the other hand, is an only child. How's that for a change of pace? Holidays will never be the same, she just inherited 10 brothers and sisters!

We would like to thank Camilla, Jim, and both of their families for being such great hosts and treating us so well. We really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait for you guys to see the rest of the images!

Without further adieu, here we go.

Don't forget to check out the SLIDESHOW featuring some additional highlights from the day. We wish you guys the very best and are really looking forward to our "day after" shoot.
