Come On In and Stay A While

Welcome to the blog of Staja Studios. We are STAcey and JAson Thon, the dynamic duo (self proclaimed) behind Staja Studios! This blog serves as our way to keep in touch with everyone we know, like, and love. We thought it would be a fun way for people who know us to keep up with what is going on in our lives and studio, and a wonderful way for those of you who may have just met us to learn more about who we are.
We would like to bring together our professional and personal lives. You can expect to see pictures from our latest weddings, engagement shoots, portraits, etc. As well as some personal, fine art, family pics, and other projects. In addition, we will be sharing our "Cheers and Jeers", and other random ramblings about whatever strikes our fancy. In the future we are also looking for ways to make things more interactive, if you will. This may include voting for a particular marketing piece, contests, and various other activities.
Thank you all for stopping by, and don't forget to - Get Captured!

The Week In Review

Hey Everyone,

The absentee bloggers are BACK!!! Sorry about the missing gap of time. We have just been crazed ever since WPPI. With that said, I figured it was about time we got some fresh stuff up. Since this was an eventful week, what better place to start.

Tuesday we had our PUG meeting, and had the pleasure of having Victor Sizemore as a guest. I met Victor while at WPPI and asked if he wanted to come hang out with our PUG while he was in town from the OC! What a great guy, and a very successful photographer to boot. Here is a picture of Stacey, Victor, and myself (image compliments of Sue Austin).

In case you were wondering, no we didn't call each-other to plan our outfits; we are just brothers in style I guess! After the PUG meeting, the three of us and the wonderful ladies of Dolce all went out to Figlio for dinner. The carpaccio was tasty!

Wednesday, I went and took some pictures at the Voltage08-Fashion Amplified show at First Avenue. Voltage is a live music fashion show. It was a blast, and I got some great images. A list of the designers and bands is below:

Designers:
Pomije
Standard Issue Collection
Belle
Calpurnia Peach
Max Lohrbach
George Moskal
Amanda Christine
Katherine Gerdes
Swank Dollar
Red Shoe Clothing Co.

The show was so much fun to shoot, and the house was packed! Anna Lee (w/ Ruby 3) and everyone else involved should be proud of themselves, the show came off really well. For additional highlights, be sure to watch the slideshow.

For the most part, the rest of the week was playing catch up. However, I did get a chance to take the kidos to the park today which is always fun. Lauren's imagination is just running wild lately. She is so funny! Stacey or I will try and post some new pictures soon. Take Care and hope you were able to enjoy this beautiful day!
