Come On In and Stay A While

Welcome to the blog of Staja Studios. We are STAcey and JAson Thon, the dynamic duo (self proclaimed) behind Staja Studios! This blog serves as our way to keep in touch with everyone we know, like, and love. We thought it would be a fun way for people who know us to keep up with what is going on in our lives and studio, and a wonderful way for those of you who may have just met us to learn more about who we are.
We would like to bring together our professional and personal lives. You can expect to see pictures from our latest weddings, engagement shoots, portraits, etc. As well as some personal, fine art, family pics, and other projects. In addition, we will be sharing our "Cheers and Jeers", and other random ramblings about whatever strikes our fancy. In the future we are also looking for ways to make things more interactive, if you will. This may include voting for a particular marketing piece, contests, and various other activities.
Thank you all for stopping by, and don't forget to - Get Captured!

Photoshop Training

We are in the smoky mecca of Treasure Island Resort & Casino getting some photoshop training with Kevin Kubota. It is a lot of information to cram into a few days, but has been a great learning experience so far. We arrived on Sunday and started right away. Kevin has been excellent. Not only does he know his stuff, but he also presents it in a fun way.

Last night we went out for dinner in Red Wing at The St. James Hotel Port restaurant. It was a nice change of pace from the day. The restaurant is set in a wine cellar atmosphere. A nice warm environment. We went out with some photographer friends of ours who are also in our PUG group. Here is a picture of everyone from left to right Jason and Stacey, Erin, Sally, Tasha and Kristi.

Good food, good company, and an overall good time. Stacey and I are so excited to get home and implement some of what we have learned. We really think you are going to enjoy some of the things we have planned for the next year.

Well, it's about time for a cold frosty brew!

Later -
