Come On In and Stay A While

Welcome to the blog of Staja Studios. We are STAcey and JAson Thon, the dynamic duo (self proclaimed) behind Staja Studios! This blog serves as our way to keep in touch with everyone we know, like, and love. We thought it would be a fun way for people who know us to keep up with what is going on in our lives and studio, and a wonderful way for those of you who may have just met us to learn more about who we are.
We would like to bring together our professional and personal lives. You can expect to see pictures from our latest weddings, engagement shoots, portraits, etc. As well as some personal, fine art, family pics, and other projects. In addition, we will be sharing our "Cheers and Jeers", and other random ramblings about whatever strikes our fancy. In the future we are also looking for ways to make things more interactive, if you will. This may include voting for a particular marketing piece, contests, and various other activities.

Camilla and Jim's Engagement Album

Some of you may know that Stacey and I started offering "Engagement Guestbook Albums" quiet a while ago. The way we design them is as to take elements of a custom designed album and a guestbook. Instead of a bunch of lines for just your name, this album encourages the guests to leave behind notes, encouragement, etc. while getting to view your engagement pictures. I just finished the design for Camilla and Jim's, and love how it turned out. Feel free to take a look!

Minnesota Bride Best of 2008 Awards

What a great party Minnesota Bride threw for their Best Of 2008 Awards. The event was held at the beautifully renovated Calhoun Beach Club. Everything from the food (D'Amico) to the flowers (Wisteria Design Studio) was first class. Stacey and I both had a great time. It was nice to run into some old faces as well as meet some new people.

Jenny & Curt

What a wonderful couple and a gorgeous wedding. We knew from the moment we met Jenny that we were going to have a fun time capturing their wedding. They both were so relaxed and completely trusted us to document their wedding the way that we best saw fit. We think the images ended up really capturing their individual personalities as well as that of a couple.

The entire day was just perfect. The weather was great, the flowers were beautiful, the mood was festive, and we just took it all in and hopefully helped preserve memories for these two incredible people and their families. J&C - We both want to wish the two of you the absolute best in your new lives together. It was an honor to be a part of your day!
